Tech Support Scam Kaise Kaam Karta Hai?
Step 1 — Contact
- Phone call (fake Microsoft/Windows/Google)
- Browser popup with scary message aur phone number
- Email claiming your account is compromised
- Social media ads: “Free PC scan” aur phir scare tactics
Step 2 — Scare Karna
- Event Viewer mein “errors” dikhate hain — ye normal hote hain Windows pe
- Fake virus scan results dikhate hain
- “Aapka data hack ho chuka hai”, “Aapki banking information leak ho gayi”
- Urgency create karte hain — “Abhi fix karo warna computer brick ho jaayega”
Step 3 — Remote Access Maangna
Yahan se actual fraud start hota hai:
- TeamViewer, AnyDesk, ya Quick Assist install karwate hain
- Aapke computer ka remote access lete hain
- Files “encrypt” karte hain, fake virus dikhate hain
- Phir “fix” ke liye ₹5,000-50,000 maangte hain gift cards ya UPI mein

Red Flags — Scam Identify Karna
- Unsolicited call claiming to be from Microsoft/Google/Windows Support
- Caller ID pe “Microsoft” ya “Windows” dikhna — spoofed hota hai
- Browser popup with phone number — legitimate popups mein phone numbers nahi hote
- Remote access demand karna
- Gift cards (Amazon, Google Play, iTunes) mein payment maangna — koi legitimate company aisa nahi karti
- UPI/bank transfer for “subscription”
- Extreme urgency aur panic create karna
Agar Scam Ho Jaaye — Immediate Steps
- Remote access software immediately uninstall karo (TeamViewer, AnyDesk)
- Internet disconnect karo temporarily
- Sab important accounts ke passwords change karo — email, banking, social media
- Bank ko immediately inform karo agar koi payment kiya
- Cyber Crime report karo: cybercrime.gov.in ya helpline 1930
- Full antivirus scan chalaо

Family aur Bujurgon Ko Protect Karo
India mein elderly parents aur less tech-savvy family members target hote hain zyada. Unhe samjhao:
- Microsoft/Google/Windows kabhi call nahi karta
- Koi bhi remote access nahi dena kisi ko bhi
- Scary screen message aaye toh aapko (family member ko) call karo, number dial mat karo
- Gift cards mein kabhi payment nahi karna “technical support” ke liye
