Finally, the much-awaited feature, the Dark mode is now available in WhatsApp on Android smartphones. Learn more about how to enable it for your Android mobile.

The trend of a dark mode on smartphones started getting popular by the end of 2018 and 2019 was all about several mobile apps getting dark modes.

This especially happened after several of Google’s apps were given a dark theme after their statement that dark theme does conserve battery life on smartphones.

Since then, it was highly speculated that the dark mode would be rolled out on WhatsApp soon, but there was no timeline as to when it will be released.

Finally, that is happening and WhatsApp has started ruling the dark mode in The to the beta testers on Android.

How to get the latest update for WhatsApp

Since it is available to only beta users you have to sign up for beta testers on the Play Store most of the time the list is full so if you are not already. A part of Beta tester you might have to wait for the next Lord to open

But by then it might be rolled out to all the other users as well, so if you want to use it right now you can download the latest APK file of the latest beta version of WhatsApp.

It can be downloaded from websites like APK Mirror, or APK Pure, two of the most trusted websites that host the APK files of Android Apps.

Once you have downloaded and installed the beta version of WhatsApp on your mobile phones, open WhatsApp, go to the settings area by tapping on three vertical dots on the top right-hand side, then tap on Chats.

You will find new options for Theme and Wallpaper under the display section. Tap on the Theme and then select Dark, and you are done.

The user interface in dark mode is pretty neat, and the time taken by WhatsApp to refine it and make it look better on thousands of Android devices has paid off.

Here is a video tutorial showing you how to enable the dark mode in WhatsApp
